Privacy Policy

Account information. When you create an account we store your email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account — the basic profile scopes. We do not request access to your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or any other Google service, and we never see your Google password.

Photographs you upload. The images you submit for captioning, along with the captions and athlete matches produced from them.

Facial recognition data. To match athletes across a shoot, we compute numeric face representations (vectors) from the photographs you upload and from the public roster headshots for the teams you select. These vectors are used only to match athletes within your jobs.

Roster information. Athlete and coach names, jersey numbers, and headshots collected from the publicly available team roster pages you point the app at.

Usage data. Standard product analytics — pages visited, features used, approximate device and browser information, and error reports — so we can find bugs and understand what to improve.

We use this information to run the service: to recognize athletes, generate captions, write metadata into your files, keep your past jobs available to you, secure your account, respond to support requests, and improve the product.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use your photographs or your Google account data to train machine-learning models.

We share information only with the service providers that make the product work, and only as needed for them to do so:

• Supabase — database, file storage, and authentication.
• Vercel — application hosting and performance analytics.
• Amazon Web Services (Rekognition) — face detection and matching.
• Anthropic (Claude) — reading jersey numbers and suggesting caption wording. Anthropic does not train its models on data submitted through its API.
• PostHog — product analytics.
• Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case we will tell you first.

Caption Generator can publish a selected set of photos from a job as a shareable page reachable by a secret link, optionally protected by a password. Anyone with that link can view those photos. You choose what goes in, and you can unpublish it at any time.

We keep your photographs, jobs, and derived data for as long as your account is active, so that past jobs remain available to you. You can delete a job from within the app, which removes its photos and derived data. To delete your account and everything associated with it, email us at hello@peakaction.ai and we will do it.

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@peakaction.ai. If you signed in with Google, you can revoke our access at any time from your Google account permissions page.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access to production systems is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and will notify you promptly if a breach affects your data.

Peak Action is a professional tool and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Note that photographs of youth and college athletes may be processed by the photographers who use our service; those photographers are responsible for having the rights and permissions their work requires.

If we make a material change to this policy we will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify account holders by email.
