Peak Action captions sports photography automatically. It reads the team roster, recognizes who is in each photo by face and jersey number, and writes the names and caption into the file’s metadata — so a shoot arrives in your editor already captioned.
How it works

Point it at the roster
Pick the school or club and paste the team roster URL. Peak Action scrapes the names, jersey numbers and headshots, and shows you the list to correct before anything is processed.

Drop in the shoot
Drag in your edited JPGs — in batches during the game, or all at once afterwards. Every frame is matched against the roster by face and by jersey number.

Download captioned files
Athlete names and a caption built from your own template are written straight into each file’s XMP, so the photos open pre-captioned in Photo Mechanic or Lightroom. You get a ZIP with your original filenames intact.
Face and jersey, not one or the other
Numbers get blocked, obscured, or turned away from the lens. Faces get lost in a pile. Reading both and reconciling them catches athletes that either signal alone would miss.
You review before you ship
Every photo lands in a results table with its matches and caption. Fix a match, edit a caption, or add someone by hand in the lightbox. Nothing is written blind.
Built for volume
Hundreds of frames a shoot is the normal case, not the stress test. Rosters are cached across jobs, and a shoot can cover both sides of a match.
